“마법소녀들이 지구를 구한다.” 라는 세계관을 기반으로

자연의 영역과 신화적 서사를 빌려와 나의 내면과 시대의 정서를 섬세하게 연결해 동시대를 살아가는 여성들의 내면을 결핍과 욕망에 솔직한 마법소녀라는 상징으로 재해석하여 회화작업을 하고 있다.

유화의 물성과 섬세한 묘사를 중요하게 생각하고 화면에서의 유기적인 조화를 통해 설득력있는 환상적인 화면을 연출하는 것을 목표로 두고있다.

내가 하는 작업은 단순한 판타지가 아닌 결핍을 통해 마법을 발견하는 여정이자 작업을 보는 분들과 공감의 뿌리를 잇는 시도이다.

나의 마법세상은 아름답지만 불편함을 외면하지 않고, 로맨틱 하지만 무력하지 않으며, 슬프지만 생명을 틔우는 희망을 이야기 한다. 그 과정에서 나레이스, 윈디, 레오나 라는 캐릭터가 만들어 졌고 앞으로 작업될 새로운 캐릭터들과 ‘동시대의 신화’ 를 빚어내고자 한다.

Based on the worldview of “Magical girls save the Earth,”

I borrowed the realm of nature and mythical narratives to delicately connect my inner self and the emotions of the times, and tried to reinterpret the inner self of women living in the same era who are honest about their desires as a symbol called a magical girl and express it through paintings.

The work I do is not a simple fantasy, but a journey to discover magic through lack and an attempt to connect with the roots of empathy with those who view my work.

My magical world is beautiful but does not ignore discomfort, romantic but not helpless, sad but tells a story of hope that gives life. In the process, the characters Nareis, Windy, and Leona were created, and I intend to create a ‘contemporary myth’ with new characters that will be worked on in the future.
